People don’t talk enough about the multiple uses of technologically advanced items.
The Apple Airtag is one such item; a privilege for iPhone users. To track dogs with it? That sure is an interesting take.
I’m sure you know that you can track many things, especially your car keys, with an airtag. All you need to have is an Apple device.
How can pet owners attach the Airtag to the collar? By an Airtag case.
But you also can’t afford to lose the Airtag with a low-quality holder. That’s why this list has 5 of the Best Airtag Dog Collars in the market.
Let’s see what they are!

The 5 Best Airtag Dog Collars of 2022
1. Keepaws Leather Airtag Dog Collar (Editor’s Choice)
As soon as I landed on the page, I got a chance to test my luck for a $100 discount. All I needed to do was enter my email and spin the wheel.
Here’s what I got.
10% is still a discount! Who knows, maybe you’ll be able to land the $100 discount.
Anyhow, let’s get into the product.
Keepaws leather Airtag dog collar is one of a kind. I immediately felt the massive brand value.
Unlike most dog collars, this product comes in 4 main sizes; extra extra small, extra small, small, and medium. Here’s how their sizes change.
As you can see, the Airtag holder works perfectly on pets like small dogs, medium-sized dogs, and large breeds.
This is a leather Airtag collar that feels extra flexible.
I’m sure they get a lot of redirected internet traffic from GPS tracking devices; that’s why they claim their product doesn’t need any monthly subscription.
Of course, Airtag dog COLLARS won’t need a subscription; the Apple Airtag doesn’t need any monthly payment.
There are so many green flags about this Airtag case compared to several other similar dog collars.
Here are some:
Overall summary: Keepaws Airtag case has everything you’d look for in a cost-effective Airtag holder; my personal favorite if I were to buy one of these collars.
2. Followpaw Airtag Dog Collar (2nd Best Choice)
I landed a 15% discount the same way I did with Keepaws.
The Followpaw collar is made from the best European sustainable cork leather.
That instantly boosts the product’s value for dog owners since that leather is highly durable.
They emphasize the material quality with these pinpointed features:
The first difference compared to the Keepaws tag is the locking mechanism. They use a fast-locking magnetic buckle in the Followpaw’s collar.
The uniqueness of the product has been further enhanced with the hidden pocket to include an Airtag. That’s good news for dog lovers like you and me.
Like the Keepaws Airtag holder, the Followpaw’s one also has four different sizes:
Note: This measurement in inches corresponds to your dog’s neck.
In addition, the strap’s width is 34mm, and the width of the pocket is 42mm.
This Airtag collar is available in cream and black.
I didn’t like that they didn’t have a 30-day money-back guarantee, free shipping, or any generosity of Keepaws.
However, the Followpaw Airtag collar gives a 14 days cancellation benefit. You can read more here if you’d like.
Overall summary: It’s not a terrible Airtag collar at all. But its value drops considerably against the Keepaws Airtag dog’s collar.
3. Feeyar Reflective Airtag Holder (3rd Best Choice)
The brand value of Followpaw Airtag holders is a bit low as they don’t have a website.
That’s when I noticed the product was Chinese at Amazon. That’s not a problem since even Apple products are assembled in China.
I was going to buy it anyway, so all I needed was a little reassurance.
With 1,157 Amazon reviews of 4.5 stars, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t reassured a little.
Like the first two Airtag dog collars on this list, the Feeyar dog’s collar also comes in four different sizes; small, medium, large, and extra large.
Here’s how the respective dimensions change:
Remember, these dimensions correspond to your pet’s neck.
The product comes in several colors; black, pink, teal, orange, red, and purple. My advice is to go with a darker color as the light colors get dirty faster.
There is glow in the dark reflective parts in the collar as well.
Overall summary: The Feeyard Airtag case for dog tracking brings some unique qualities. I think it covers the product’s gap with the lack of brand value. What do you think?
4. Olixar Airtag Dog Collar
After the Feeyar Airtag collar, I definitely had a good impression of Amazon stores of Airtag dog collars.
This is the background in which I end up finding the Olixar Airtag collar.
It’s a British-based brand made in China and definitely has a nice Amazon-based branding strategy.
The Olixar Airtag collar is made of genuine leather, double stitched, and with copper buckles.
The leather feels authentic enough. It’s also dog bite-proof and scratch proof, so you know the collar securely holds the Airtag.
It’s a convenience to get a collar instead of a mere case since most Airtag accessories do not come in the form of collars.
The company suggests a list of breeds the collar would work the best on. The breeds of the dogs are such as, Bichon Frises, Beagles, Scottish Terriers, Dachshunds, Border Collies, Springer Spaniels, Shih Tzus, Jack Russells, Terriers, Cockapoos, and more.
Unlike the first three pet tags you read just now, Olixar doesn’t have a size variation. Its standard size is 12.59 to 17.7 Inches inches, weighing 4.59 ounces.
Not having a size range for pet products like airtag holders is not a problem when there’s a 5-inch variation of the collar.
They also give you a 10% discount. But you’ll have to decide whether or not you like the terms and conditions.
Overall summary: The features the Olixar Airtag case brings to the table justify its cost. However, not specifying whether or not it is waterproof reduces the product’s value; at least they could have made this pet’s collar have some resistance to water.
5. Case-Mate Airtag Dog Collar Holder
Case-Mate is yet another cost-effective Airtag case made out of soft silicone. I was convinced that the product was suitable for both dogs AND cats.
This is NOT a waterproof holder, but water-resistant.
Personally, I believe your main dog collar must be waterproof for good.
But the Cas-Mate dog tag doesn’t come with a collar. Because of that, you can use your existing dog collar for the job.
Its dimensions are standardized, such as 2.76 x 1.46 x 0.39 inches, weighing just 0.7 ounces. So, I’d say the dimensions are not bad at all, fitting a considerable range of dogs.
Overall summary: I’d say the case mate dog collar is the direct opposite of the Keepaws dog’s collar in terms of the benefits and the quality. Nonetheless, it works and does what the product description claims.
About the Airtag?
If you’re looking for a holder to keep the Airtag inside, you already know what it is. People usually attach the Airtag to inanimate objects like keys, backpacks, etc., to track them.
You switch to the “lost mode,” and you can find its location as long as the location is within around 100ft.
Apple doesn’t approve of Airtags on pets, although it’s not technically wrong to attach one to a pet’s collar.
But here’s where it gets a little negative.
Locating your dog by the Apple Airtag depends entirely on passersby; it has to be a well-populated area.
If dogs get lost in a less populated area, you won’t be able to find it. That’s a lot of risk to your pet’s safety since you might not be able to control the nature of the environment you’re in.
If you were to use it on a pet like a cat, the chances only drop further.
Although almost all the Airtag collar companies reassure dogs of bite-proof qualities, the problem is not biting. It’s the functionality itself.
So, no, Apple does NOT recommend using Airtags to track dogs. But that doesn’t mean they cannot be used for the intended purposes.
You can track your dog with an Airtag at your own risk. In Fact Airtags have shown great results when it comes to pet tracking all thanks to the excellent ‘’Find My’’ Network.
If you’re concerned, you can always settle for a GPS technology for pet tracking like the one below.
Alternative You Can Consider: Fi Series 2
The Fi Series 2 pet tracker is a GPS tracker from an American-based company founded in 2017.
They’ve been crushing the numbers so impressively that the tracker has become a symbol of a problem-free tracking solution for pet parents in the United States.
It could even replace cat collars too.
The tracker comes in three main colors: pink, blue, and yellow, and four sizes such as:
You can replace your dog’s existing collar, as the tracker comes with the dog collar.
This dog tracker is IP68 waterproof. Which means, it can stay underwater for half an hour at a depth of 1.5m with no problem. It’s also dust resistant.
The tracker also has a battery life of up to 3 months. When you track your dogs all the time, the battery life could be slightly reduced.
In addition, the Fi Series 2 dog collar works on all GPS, Wi-Fi, and LTE, which increases the accuracy but, importantly, the range up to 10 square miles. All you need is cell coverage.
It also has geofencing, which alerts you if the dog leaves the boundary of the geofence you’ve drawn.
The Fi dog collar also lets you track your dog’s activeness and sleeping habits. That’s not all; you could set up activity goals within the App itself.
The App is absolutely beautiful and simple; most importantly, it works like magic.
The Fi series dog collar is $149, and you can choose a plan from 3 subscription plans.
Billing starts only after 30 days of the trial. The first is the 1-year package with a $1.89/week rate, which bills $99 annually.
The second package is the most popular one and the one I chose. For $1.79/week, the billing is done every 2 years, and the rate is $186.
The last package is billed every 3 years. The bill of $248 compiles at a rate of $1.59/ week.
In Conclusion
Airtag collars in this list live up to the expectations as a separate product. But since it’s just a case for the Airtag, what matters is the functionality of the Airtag as a dog tracker.
That’s why Fi Series 2 dog tracker is better than all the best Airtag dog collars combined. Fi collar is designed to monitor your dog all the time.
That’s why I chose it over the Airtag. Because I know I’m my dog’s best friend, and there’s no way I’m going to let him down.
You shouldn’t either.
