I don’t know how you came across Garret’s DIYK9, probably via his TikTok or his YouTube channel, but I’ve got to say that you’ve found a gem of a course if you want to train your dog.
I put the course to the test with two new dog owners for precisely 8 weeks, and the outcome was, as expected, largely positive.

They’re on TikTok as “americanstandardk9” and have around 3.4 million followers there.
They are quite a force on YouTube in the dog training department as well. Search “American Standard Dog Training,” and you’ll see a channel pop up with around 1.7 million subscribers at the time of writing this article.

I know training with an e-collar might put off some, but keep in mind that it’ll only take a toll when used at higher levels of intensity; otherwise, it’s just another solid training device. In the course, it’s used on lower levels unless your dog does not respond.
That said, the first thing you need to master is the e-collar; thanks to Garret, it takes no time to do that; all in all, he walks you through all the essentials clearly.
Also, if you have no idea about which e-collar to go with, there’s a walkthrough as to which type of collar you should get for your dog.
Even if you get stranded, each training video has its own comments section, you can add your doubts there, and Garret himself will answer your questions.

If having someone come over to your home has been a nightmare with your dog, this course will take care of that too; on top of that, Garret will teach you how to use the leash like a pro, even in high distraction areas, reliably.
Leashed will set you back $397, putting it on the premium price tag list similar to other courses on DIYK9. However, training a dog to be obedient on-leash is one of the hardest things to teach; Garret makes that whole process straightforward to the point where you’ll have zero difficulties completing training.

That is a lot of content. You can’t go wrong with “Puppy Essentials” if you’ve brought home a new puppy or are willing to bring one in.
Looking at the price, it’s still not cheap at $397. However, considering you can fully train your pup from zero to hero with proven methods, can’t complain.
Puppy Biting and Manners
This is a standalone course that is otherwise included with the bundled ones above. Puppy Biting and Manners is a straightforward course you can opt for if your dog or puppy is trained but still has biting problems.
It does not bring a lot similar to the ones we looked at above, but it’s excellent considering everything it offers.
Garret claims that the course can be finished in 5 weeks, and problems like; Biting, Jumping up, Playing too rough, Scratching, and Refusing to be groomed or bathed would be eliminated entirely.
This is a $119 course; this, when considering the other courses in DIYK9, is cheap. That is because of the content it offers. Here, it’s tailored more toward dogs that have issues like biting.
If you’ve already trained your dog and if it still has issues with manners, this can be a worthy course. If that is not the case and you’re about to train your dog for the first time, I’d recommend you go with “UNLEASHED!”.
Potty Training
The name says it all, this one’s entirely dedicated to potty training. From A to Z, everything about potty training is covered in this course.
Garret claims that you can get your puppy potty trained in 48 hours with the help of this course; even though that seems too good to be true, you can eventually get it done in a week, to be exact, thanks to all the detailed step-by-step materials included in the course.
That said, from all the courses I’ve seen, Garret’s potty training course has been the most detailed. Excellent stuff.
Similar to Puppy Biting & Manners, this costs $119; I would say it’s worth buying the course if you have not potty trained your dog but are done with all the other essential training.
Crate Training
Crate training cannot get much easier than this. Similar to the potty training course, the crate training course is stacked. You even get tips on which crate to buy for your dog, which can be very useful.
Apart from that, there’s also content on how to put a full stop to separation anxiety, which can be super useful if your dog has been affected. That is not it, though; there’s more.

As I said, everything related to crate training is covered in this course, and nothing is missed out on. This is a great way to start crate training with your dog; just look at everything it offers.

Coming in at $119, this DIYK9 course is worth buying. Not many online training programs cover crate training, and even if they do, it’s mostly half-baked. Considering all that, this is the best crate training course you can buy on the internet.
The Perfect Walk
Now, this is a gem of a course, one of the most detailed, well-thought-out courses if you want to take your dog on walks peacefully. It’s just excellent.
The perfect walk, like all other courses in DIYK9, contains every single bit of info you need to train your dog; like I said, it’s super detailed.
30 videos with step-by-step instructions, a walkthrough on what’s needed to start training, ways to put a full stop to pulling; these are what will help you achieve that perfect walk.

If you’re ready to spend some time and want the perfect canine companion, you can get this and not look back, cause it’ll deliver. This was released after I completed the courses and was writing my review.
That said, I’ve tried all of the courses here and as already mentioned, you won’t be disappointed. And for the price. This, as you might’ve guessed, is the most expensive at $1499. That’s a few hundred bucks off if you decide to get them one by one.

This subscription costs $24.99/month and is billed monthly. As far as its content goes, I’d say that, except for access to The PERFECT WALK, there’s nothing too much to talk about here.

Annual membership is like the medium-sized drink on fast food chains, acting as a decoy for both Monthly and Premium membership.
At $16.99/Month (Billed Yearly at $199), It might seem like a better deal compared to the Monthly membership, but It’s not for quite a few reasons.
One reason is that since membership is billed annually, you will need to pay $199 right off the bat, and in return, the contents you get in return are pretty much the same as monthly except for the Director’s Cut Videos, which isn’t helpful for training.
Once you complete THE PERFECT WALK course, you are left with nothing too useful for training, so just like I said before, subscribe to a monthly membership, get the PERFECT WALK, and cancel the membership, not much useful content here.
